Swirling Manuscripts

Each time you think of a manuscript it multiplies. For each thought has its own worth, it’s a manuscript in itself. Hence, the universe is swirling with manuscripts. And all of them are extremely important. The glasses on the nose tip and a gin-and-tonic which lasts all night.

Uff. Hvorfor i all verden skal Reiersrud alltid lure inn denne soul-greia i Bluesasylet? Midt inne i mørke stereotype utlegninger om livet, kommer isbilen med den horrible, psykotiske pling-plong-sirenen sin. La oss spise is og synge om Jesus. Kristne stereotyper om livets vidunderlighet er ikke blues. Lettøl er ikke øl. Urtetobakk fra helsekosten er ikke tobakk.

Men for all del, de spiller også mange strålende ting disse Knutene. Slike opptak som man aldri hadde kommet til å høre, hadde det ikke vært for Bluesasylet.

The Disappearance of the Splash Screen in Ubuntu

I have a Dell Optiplex GX 270 in my office, with a Dell 1703 FP flat panel screen. When I installed Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (7.04), the splash screen never turned up. Few of the video modes you specify in Grub will work, except from vga=773. This problem occurs with some other computers from Dell – and other vendors, perhaps?
